Siila | Wellness Platform App

Context and Brief

As part of the Hyper Island Upskill Course, the founder of Siila, a digital wellness platform, collaborated with us on a project to build a mobile app for the platform. Silla’s mission is to simplify access to holistic wellness through an integrated ecosystem that combines content sharing, community building, and management tools.

 

We were tasked with designing a mobile app interface for wellness professionals on the Siila platform. The goal was to simplify their experience with onboarding and event creation, making it easier to showcase their offerings and connect with seekers.

Outcome

By the end of the four-week sprint, our team successfully delivered a functional, validated solution that directly addressed the platform’s main usability challenges. Our work helped reimagine Siila’s mobile experience for wellness professionals and laid the groundwork for future development. The founder appreciated our strategic thinking and user-centric design, especially how we translated research findings into practical, elegant solutions.

My Role & Reflection

As a design generalist, I was involved in every stage of the project, from research and ideation to prototyping and UI design. I learned how to adapt my skillset based on project needs and found value in being able to move fluidly across different disciplines. This experience deepened my understanding of the full design process and emphasized the importance of user insight in shaping meaningful digital products.

Developing the Solution

Our solution focused on reducing complexity while enhancing clarity and usability. We redesigned the entire professional workflow, cutting the number of steps by roughly 50%. We restructured event creation into a three-phase process to reduce fatigue and added features like real-time validation, the ability to save drafts, and a preview screen for final review. We also clarified user roles during onboarding, provided better guidance with visual cues and CTAs, and created a more intuitive, feedback-rich interface to support confidence and ease of use.
